Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Centre
Met at JKIA, visit Karen Blixen Museum and lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, then the Giraffe Centre. Overnight at Novotel Nairobi Westlands (Bed & Breakfast).
Kiambethu Tea Farm
Tea farm tour and history, a forest walk with a resident guide, Colobus monkeys, and a three-course buffet lunch. Overnight at Novotel Nairobi Westlands (Bed & Breakfast).
Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy — all Big Five species plus a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Overnight at Maisha Sweet Waters Camp (Full Board).
Lake Nakuru
Game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park — flamingos, hippos, clawless otters, and a rhino conservation talk from park wardens. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge (Full Board).
Leleshwa Vineyard
Vineyard tour and wine tasting at Leleshwa Vineyard, then Lake Elementaita Weavers for local artisan craftwork. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort (Full Board).
Crescent Island
Boat ride and nature walk on Crescent Island Sanctuary — giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and abundant birdlife. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort (Full Board).
Into the Mara
Drive to Maasai Mara, check in for lunch, an evening guided nature walk. Overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp (Full Board).
Game drives & Maasai elders
Morning and afternoon game drives; an evening session with Maasai elders on traditional medicinal plants. Overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp (Full Board).
Full day in the Mara
A further day of morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp (Full Board).
Departure
Drive to Nairobi (lunch own arrangement), transfer to JKIA for the outbound flight.
Practical Info
- Carry your passport, travel insurance details, and any prescription or preventative medication
- Bring a hat, sunblock, sunglasses, a camera, and binoculars
- Pack light — 15kg of hand luggage makes transfers between camps easier
- Wear neutral-coloured clothing (khaki, olive, brown) for game drives
- Keep a respectful distance and stay quiet near wildlife
- Carry cash (KES/USD) for tips and personal purchases
- Follow your driver-guide’s instructions at all times
- Confirm any dietary needs or medical conditions before departure
- Don’t stand up, lean out, or exit the vehicle during game drives
- Don’t feed or attempt to touch any wildlife
- Don’t use flash photography near animals
- Don’t wear bright colours or all-white/black on game drives
- Don’t litter in parks, conservancies, or camps
