Terms & Conditions
These terms govern every booking made with Nature Expeditions Africa Ltd.
1. Prices
All prices are based on costs prevailing at the time of publication of the price list. These can change without notice. However, once a holiday has been paid for, we will guarantee the price, unless it is subsequently affected by Government action or other influence beyond the control of Nature Expeditions Africa Ltd.
2. Reservations, Deposit, and Payment Procedure
We can only hold confirmed provisional space for 14 days, awaiting your confirmation of the safari. If provisional space is not confirmed within this period, space will be released.
Once you confirm a safari, for us to hold the space, we require an immediate deposit of 10% of the total amount required to confirm a safari. Some hotels and lodges may ask for deposits when booking — we will advise you when this occurs. The balance of 90% is to be settled 1 month before the start of the safari.
3. Cancellations
Cancellations are subject to the following forfeit schedule, based on how close to the safari’s start date the cancellation is made:
| Timing | Amount Forfeited |
|---|---|
| 60 days to safari (from confirmation) | 10% of deposit |
| 30 – 20 days to safari | 50% of deposit + bank charges |
| 19 – 15 days to safari | 75% of deposit |
| 15 – 0 days to safari | 100% of deposit |
4. Rates
Included in the cost given is the vehicle and driver-guide, all Government hotel taxes, hotel service charges, and game drives as applicable to the itinerary, and all entry fees (except where these are specifically quoted separately). Accommodation in Nairobi is bed and breakfast, and full board whilst on safari (unless specified differently in the itinerary).
Not included are departure taxes, visas, gratuities (other than service charges), beverages, laundry, and other such personal expenses.
5. Accommodation
Wherever possible, we book rooms with private baths throughout, on the basis of two people sharing a double room. Single rooms are scarce and cannot be guaranteed, and may sometimes double up — where this occurs, an appropriate refund will be made directly to the client. Hotels, lodges, and camps mentioned are named as an indication of category, and rooms may be reserved at similar hotels, lodges, and camps.
6. Transportation
Safari minivans or four-wheel drive vehicles will be provided (depending on your request), according to the route and the number of participants. The right is reserved to employ the services of sub-contractors. English- or other-language-speaking driver-guides are provided.
7. Alterations to Tours
The right is reserved to change any route or arrangement should conditions necessitate offering substitutes of equal value, or to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time, in which event an equitable amount will be refunded.
Nature Expeditions Africa Ltd and its agents act only as the agent of the passenger in all matters relating to accommodation, meals, tours, and transportation of any type, and shall not be liable for inconvenience, omission of service, injury, delay, loss, or damage from any cause and in any manner howsoever, including weather, machinery breakdown, labour disputes, civil disturbances, and government orders.
8. Insurances
Nature Expeditions Africa is insured against legal liabilities arising from injuries which may be incurred by passengers in its own vehicles, subject only to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which we operate.
